Just One Cup of Coffee
Aarav never believed in love at first sight. That was until he walked into his favorite café on a rainy evening and saw her—soft brown eyes lost in a book, fingers absentmindedly tracing the rim of her coffee cup. He didn't know her name, but something about her felt familiar, like a song he had forgotten but still knew the lyrics to.
For weeks, he saw her in the same corner, reading, sipping coffee, lost in her world. He admired her from a distance, wondering if fate would ever let their worlds collide. One day, as he stood in line, she suddenly looked up, met his gaze, and smiled. His heart skipped a beat.
That smile gave him the courage he needed. With a deep breath, he walked up to her table. "I see you here often," he said, voice slightly nervous. She looked up, surprised, then smiled again. "And I see you looking," she teased, making his cheeks warm. "I'm Naina."
That was the beginning. Every evening, they met at the café, sharing stories, laughter, and secrets over coffee. He learned she loved poetry, and she discovered he was terrible at making coffee but tried anyway. Each day, their conversations grew deeper, their connection stronger.
One night, as they walked under city lights, Aarav stopped. "Naina, do you ever feel like… some people are meant to find each other?" She tilted her head, eyes twinkling. "Why do you ask?"
"Because if soulmates are real, I think I just found mine," he whispered.
She felt her heart flutter. The air between them was charged with something unspoken yet powerful. Instead of answering, she took his hand, interlocking their fingers. No words were needed—her touch was enough.
Months passed, and the café became their place. One evening, he slid a note under her cup. "Will you share every cup of coffee with me for the rest of our lives?" She looked up to see him holding a ring, eyes full of love.
Tears welled in her eyes. She picked up her coffee, took a sip, and whispered, "Only if you promise to keep bringing me extra sugar."
He laughed, pulling her into his arms. "Always."
And just like that, their love story, which started with a single cup of coffee, became forever.
